Our love was born
with our first embrace

Just keep in mind... when you meet him... you will see what a charming and delightful man Josh is... you will meet him

So I drove all night from DC to NY to see josh... i get in the door around 6:30 and only have time to change my clothing before i -had- to get on the subway if I wanted any chance of seeing josh on rosie-- turns out that it wouldn't have mattered anyway... cause even the people who got there early to do the stand-by system didn't get in...

11:15 We went to the AOL/Time Warner building-- signed in and then went up to the Warner Bros Records office. We were escorted to a conference room with fun swivel chairs. Oooooooooh.... Wheeeeeeee!

11:30ish (and all time dissolves in a world of josh) The man himself walks in the door. I tried my hardest to politely clap... but when Josh is that close... it's impossible. Between the "woo hoo's" and the "yay's" we managed not to scare him.

Josh went around the room giving each of us a chance to introduce ourselves... some people only shook his hand... terribly not my style and so i gave him a hug. He's huggly-wuggly cuddly! (way to destroy someone's manliness by calling him cuddly... but he is!!)

So he did the once around with introductions, and then he was gracious enough to stand and take pictures with everyone... what a cool guy! When it came to be my turn, i put an arm behind his back, and another around his waist, and rested my head on his shoulder... and someone (godbless them) said "Oh, I can see where this is going..." and he did the same, wrapping his arm around me(an utterly scandalous pose until Connie posed, thwaping him with a pillow. Can't say we didn't see -that- one coming.) Then I said "Can I?" and I planted one RIGHT THERE ON HIS.... CHEEK!

Every day is Josh's birthday in Grobania, and with birthdays come gifts. We gave him lots of cool stuff... let's see... a candian olympic team jacket, a book about Quebec city, lots of candy(willy wonka bars and gobstoppers) A picture of Josh's dad Jack and Brian Avnet from the day of the Z-100 interview framed by Laura, some of Connie's artwork and the book of joshisms, and since he likes Irish things so much, I got him a Celtic Knot rign that symbolizes eternity... and i snuck in kiss number 2.

After the gifts, josh gave back to us by signing things for us such as pictures, cd booklets, shirts and marriage certificates (Just kidding...) The little curly haired doodle that he does is cute. I was very taken by how patient he was with each and every one of us. He's a class act I say, letting me kiss him on the cheek for the 3rd time.

As some of you may know, I work for my school magazine, so every now and then my journalistic instinct kicks in and i asked josh a bunch of questions... loosely remembered...

"So Josh, can I ask you a personal question?"
"Um... sure, but you might not get an answer."
"Oh, not like that, but what's your ethnicity?"
Long story short his mother is of Norwegian descent, and his father is of Russian/Polish descent. Now we know where he gets his dashing good looks and beautiful hair!

"Josh you look thin....are you eating well?"
"It's funny you say that cause i ate my way through europe."
Europe was deeply pleased. *wink wink* Then again, he didn't have time this morning to eat breakfast. Come on all you mothers out there! Tell josh he needs his breakfast!

"David (josh's vocal coach) what song are you most proud of on the record?" To which he replied, "Vincent." Josh asked us what our favorite song was and I think the general concensus is Gira Con Me... yes josh... turn with us....

"What is the best thing that your fame has afforded you?"
"Being able to take my family to the olympics, I was too young for the ones in L.A."

"Whats the best thing about your celebrity?"
"All of you, the fans." Apparently we're the best. Oh yeah baby!

"So what are you doing May 4th (I believe)"
David, "Are you asking him out to the prom?"
"Yeah."
"Unfortunately I'll be in Europe at the time."
Too bad... we wanted to see the Ally McBeal Reenactment... and I'm sure that she'd be a charming princess as he is a prince...

We also talked a bit about the llamas....
"Didn't someone ask me to meet them at 5:15 on top of the Empire state building?"
everyone: "All of us"
(someone) "and we'd be followed by a llama in a taxi cab"

"Will you sing for us?"
And then he sang Imagination-gira con me... it was a short little blurb-- but time was running out and they had to shuttle him out the door.

We all said our goodbyes, and i kissed josh for the 4th time... and I'll forever be waiting for the mythical 5th kiss... *dreams * they say 5th kiss is a charm....

Other notes:
*My god was it hot in NY today!
*Josh doesn't have any particular scent-- but just so you know, cologne is bad for singers.
*he does have great hands... and great lips and the curls are very soft.
*he is just as sweet and charming as he is talented-- he's just a normal guy living an abnormal and special life...

I know I'm forgetting something... but remember... I am proud I didn't faint... be proud that i'm able to even type... my hands did stop shaking after that first hug.... Thank you so much josh... I can't even begin to tell you how much more I love you-- only that it's bigger than I am at this point....

*smooches*
